Licensed Instructors of
L.I. Ninjutsu Centers

Frank Olmeda is my longest training student.  He began training with me in 1992 and has been here ever since.  He is a true student and friend.  Over the years we have traveled the world together going to places such as Japan, Bermuda, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, and throughout the U.S.

Over the years he has proven to be an honorable man and has always done right by L.I. Ninjutsu and I.  I am very proud of his accomplishments as a martial art student, as an instructor and as a human being.  He works hard every day to spread his good nature and good heart to others as well as his mastership level of instruction.  For those that have trained directly under him they know exactly what I am talking about.

In 2008, I bestowed the rank of "Renshi" 4th dan to him and he is the only one who has every attained this rank after nearly 18 years of dedicated training and due diligence to the martial arts.  The rank of Renshi is junior master level. He has now acquired the ability to be able to teach Sensei's and other high ranking students within in our organization and at present is the only one who can continue to teach the lineage of L.I. Ninjutsu Centers.

As an instructor I am proud of him, like any martial art father would be and I hold him in high regard.

Personal information:  written by Frank Olmeda Renshi

I fell in love with teaching a very long time ago. It all began when I spent one summer in Brooklyn at my cousin's house. While I was there I helped out at a daycare center. I taught a little boy how to write his name. It's been one of the most rewarding experiences I had ever felt. Since then, no matter what field I was in, I always would share whatever knowledge I had with whoever needed my help.

I went to automotive H.S. in Brooklyn, NY where I studied to be an auto mechanic. In my last year of H.S. my Mom moved us to Lorain, Ohio where I graduated. After H.S. I went on to Northwestern Business College and Technical Center in Lima, Ohio. I continued my studies in the automotive field.

While in college I was presented with an opportunity to live out my childhood dream of studying the martial arts. The school started a program taught by Sensei Richard Lee Hardin (my first Sensei.) When I heard about the program I was the first on line to sign up. The art I studied was Genkotsu-Kai, which was created by a gentleman named Shihan Terry Sullivan. It was an amazing time in my life. Through the training, my Sensei instilled the respect and honor that is vital in the martial arts. I reached the level of brown belt with Sensei Richard Lee Hardin. With great regret I had to end my training when I moved back to my hometown of Lorain, Ohio.

Unfortunately times were tough and there weren't many jobs, so I finally moved back to New York. Throughout my life I have had many careers; mechanic, licensed electrician, landscaper, I even worked as a janitor at Burger King! Hard work is something I was never afraid of.  The story is long so I won't go into much detail. I'll just say these were the chain of events that lead me back to N.Y. and onto my true path.

My greatest success on this path was having my wonderful daughter, Jessica. Most people know her as Sensei Jessica. She is a precious jewel in my life and my reason for knowing my life has meaning. She is also the reason I am a Sensei.  I first meet Kyoshi Allie when I brought Jessica to train in the martial arts. I signed her up and a week later I joined as well. As the saying goes 'the rest is history.'
Since then I have had the privilege and honor to train with some of the most esteemed martial artists in the world. Just to name a few:
Tanemura Soke, Professor Wally Jay, Steven Segal Sensei, Professor George Dillman, Shihan Felix Vasquez
Sensei Robert Hernandez, Shihan DePasquale Sr., Shihan DePasquale Jr., Tuhon Christopher Sayoc, Soke Ted Hines, Shihan Al Fuzy, Professor Sugar Crossan, Kyoshi Raymond Koto, Professor Willy Cayhill, Shihan John Olshlager, Professor Ronald Duncan, Bart Vale, Mike Swain, Cung Le, Frank Shamrock, Rigan Machado, John Geyston and the list goes on.

I thank Kyoshi Allie for exposing me to these great masters.

Other Interests:

I love to Karaoke (I have a lot of fun). I gained the confidence needed to do this through my Ninjutsu training with Kyoshi Allie. Through the training I have been able to overcome any fear.
I also love my PT Cruiser and being a part of the Long Island Cruisers car club. The story behind my love of PT Cruiser is an interesting one. I first saw the PT Cruiser back in 1999. The minute I saw it I was in awe. I knew that it would be my car. I kept a model of a PT Cruiser on my desk and one day, a year before I got it, I told one of my students that I would own a real one in less than a year.
This clearly proves the power of intent and shows that if we really believe it - we can achieve it.
(Which by the way was my Christmas present that year from Kyoshi!)
