The L.I. Ninjutsu Centers offers unparalleled martial arts instruction at backed up with nearly 40 years of experience. Exciting Group classesare taught seven days per week day and evenings. Private lessons are also available to fit difficult schedules and a more one on one approach. Of course, newcomers are always given a complimentary class and Kyoshi Allieand his staff of licensed instructor teach all classes. You may ask what is a licensed instructor. Very often there is no licensing in the martial arts, normally a Black Belt is awarded by a teacher and that student goes on to open a school or teach martial arts. The qualification of Black Belt however are not synonymous with a good teacher. I personally use the analogy with public schools, you either are a good teacher or a bad one. Personality plays a big part in this but in our schools all instructors whether they are Black Belts or not have been through a stringent Instructor Training program. This was designed by Kyoshi Allie Alberigo and it allows students to become teachers at various phases. There are 5 levels of Instructor at L.I. Ninjutsu Centers, starting at Phase 1, going all the way to Phase 5. A phase 5 instructor is a master teacher considered a Renshi.
After 25 years of martial arts training Kyoshi Allie Alberigomade the decision to share his knowledge with the public. Born and raised in
West Islip
, Kyoshi decided to give back to the community by establishing a school of martial arts and ethics. In 1991 he opened the first L.I. Ninjutsu Center, the "Hanata Dojo" on Higbie Lane
A demo at the West Islip school.
At that time the school was just plainly called the L.I. Ninjutsu dojo. The school grew rapidly, and after one year relocated to its present location at 235 Union Boulevard. The school prides itself on being one of the largest facilities for martial arts instruction on Long Island and in
New York
as well as one of the few schools that teaches traditional Ninpo/Ninjutsuand Jujutsu. The 6700 square foot building has two separate training floors and a full shuriken and archery range. There are separate changing facilities for men and women, a complete martial arts equipment and supply showroom called "A Touch of Zen"(www.ATouchofZen.com), and a private parking lot.
Kyoshi Allie,Renshi Frank, and Sensei Lisa encourage a future Black Belt.

L.I. Ninjutsu Centers has a very unique martial art system, which shares ancient traditions as well as modern application. The best way to describe the art would be to call it 21st Century Ninjutsu. Since the martial arts are ever evolving L.I. Ninjutsu Centers is on the cutting edge. We are constantly changing and growing as a school in order to provide the greatest benefit to our students while still maintaining our traditional Ninpo and Jujutsu roots. One very interesting fact about L.I. Ninjutsu Centers is they are by far the largest
Ninjutsu
School
on the planet under one school. There are many organizations that teach Ninjutsu and are very large, but L.I. Ninjutsu Centers is one family under one common goal and style. That is why thousands of students currently train at L.I. Ninjutsu Centers.
